Both options have their benefits. If you would like to start a project that’s focused on a topic similar to the proven ideas in the fund, or if you’re new to starting projects, starting a project based on a proven idea is a great choice.

The ideas come with structured steps, guidelines, and resources which have been crafted by experienced Social Innovators and are based on what has effectively worked in other communities. There is guidance around how to set projects up and succeed.

It’s an ideal option if you’re new to projects or if you’re looking for new ideas and inspiration.

On the other hand, if you have a new or existing project that requires funding to start or expand, and it doesn't align with any of the proven ideas in the fund, applying for funding to support your own project would make sense. In this scenario, while financial support is available, you won’t receive the additional resources that come with the proven ideas.

Keep in mind that funding is not guaranteed for either option. All applications are reviewed and evaluated by the ChangeX Team before approval for funding.
