If you're a local group, school, or community organisation in need of financial support to kickstart your project, we've got you covered. Although Stripe's language is tailored for businesses, we have created some helpful guidance so that completing the necessary forms.

Prior to your start, here are a few tips on how you can succeed with the Stripe set-up. Additionally, this article dives into further detail which we suggest that you read as you're registering!

  1. Under “Type of business”, as an individual applicant choose Individual/sole trader, as a representative of an NGO, community group or school choose Non-profit organisation (NPO).

  2. Under “Business structure” choose incorporated or unincorporated profit organisation, the information required is very similar.

  3. The name and address of the NGO, school or group should be entered as the “legal business name”. These details should be the same as those on the official “business” school/NGO/group verification documents (e.g. bank or utility bill) that you will upload later in the process.

  4. The product description should be one sentence on the project (if the account has a website/business url, the product description is not required).

  5. At the “verify you represent this business” stage, the name and address should be the same as that which will be on your ID and proof of home document (bank, utility, insurance document) you will upload later in the process.

  6. Company registration number: if you don’t have one a VAT number, Employer Identification Number (EIN), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) or other tax ID numbers can be entered. If you don’t have any of these enter 111111 or 00000.

  7. At the business owners, business directors and business executive stage, choose 'Continue with no owners' etc instead.

Please do not email us your bank or card details.

It is important that this information goes directly through the third party payment processor, Stripe, so that they can securely store all of your financial information.

If you are having trouble adding our bank details to your project page, please send details of the issues you are experiencing to [email protected] and we will be happy to help walk you through the process or address any errors. If you are being asked to verify your Stripe account, we ask that you email [email protected] so that their team can help you directly.
