We love hearing updates from you, our community of changemakers, and seeing your projects come to life in communities across the world. We love when you share photos and videos of your project in action on your project page.

Once your project is up and running, sharing a written project update (accompanied by images or videos) is one of the steps that we ask you to complete to unlock your impact funding. These photos and videos help us to understand your project and its impact on your community.

Here's some information on uploading photos and videos to your project page.

You can upload different sorts of images to your project page on the ChangeX platform.

You can share:

1. Photos and videos of your project

2. Banner header photo

3. Profile photo

4. Event image

1. Photos and videos of your project

Some example images

On your project page, you can upload images and videos that show how your project is progressing and bring its impact in your community to life.

Photos

Image requirements

  • Format: Portrait image

  • File type: JPG (preferred) or PNG

  • Size: At least 1200 x 630 px

Things to consider:

  • Be active: choose photos that show people actively engaged with your community project and capture the essence of your work.

  • Choose warm, genuine, positive and community-focused photos.

  • Be diverse and inclusive: choose photos that reflect your local community, however that looks.

  • Consider quality: ensure your photos are not over-exposed, don’t cut off heads or crucial details and avoid blurry images.

  • Think about permission:

    • If you share any photos of children, please ensure that you have secured parental/guardian consent first. Do not identify individual children by name in the post.

    • Please ask permission from other members of your community before you share their image on your project page. If, for any reason, someone wishes to have a photo featuring them removed, they can contact us at [email protected].

    • Before you post a photo, make sure you have the photographer’s permission. Do you own the image? And if not, do you need to credit a local photographer?

Videos

Requirements

  • File type: MP4

  • Video length: 30-60 seconds

Things to consider:

  • As with images, try to make your videos inclusive, warm and community-focused.

  • Tell stories: show an event in action, capture the 'before & after' of a project or ask volunteers how the project impacted their life and your community.

  • Consider quality: try to film in well-lit spaces, and aim for steady camera work.

  • Similar to any photos you upload, think about permission:

    • Please ensure that you have secured parental/guardian consent for any children featured in your video. Do not identify individual children by name in the post or any captions you include.

    • Please ask permission from other members of your community before you include them in your video. If, for any reason, someone wishes to have a video featuring them removed, they can contact us at [email protected].

    • Don't add music to your video unless you have the rights/appropriate permissions to use that music.

    • If the person who took the video is not the person uploading it, make sure the videographer's permission has been secured first.
